In Year 3 we will be using the counting stick to really get out tables facts to stick. This method helps us to understand the Maths behind the sequence of numbers and how to use doubling, halving and what we already know to help us.
In Year 2 all children should know their 2's 5's and 10 times tables off by heart. In Year 3, we have to learn the 3 4 and 8 times tables to begin with. Watch the video on the 3 times table to help you get ready for some fun with the counting stick in our classroom this term!
