The cost of a school meal is £2.30 and all orders must be placed by the Thursday at 12noon the week before.

Free school meals

 

You can apply online to check your eligibility for free school meals at:

If you receive any benefits, you should tell your school as they can get extra funding called the Pupil Premium Grant. Children who get paid these benefits directly can also get free school meals.

 

This includes:

  • Universal Credit - your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of state Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

Universal Infant Free School Meals

 

All children in Reception, year 1 and year 2 are able to have a free school meal with funding provided by the Government. These need ordering via Kidz Kitchen.
