Dear Mum,
As you know, the last time that I wrote to you, I told you that things were exceptional here at the camp (Green Lake). Unfortunately, I need to really spill the real truth to you as I may have told a few tiny lies. In my letter, I mentioned that the lake actually had...a lake; however, this was not quite true. There isn't a lake at all - well there used to be a lake but now, it is dry, barren and dusty. SO SORRY that I lied to you - can you forgive me?
To be honest, mum, things here at Camp Green Lake aren't all that rosy - it's more like a prison and we are made to do the same monotonous thing EVERY SINGLE DAY. Want to know what it is? Well...holes! Lots and lots of holes!
