Please remember that the White Rose Maths gets harder as the sheet goes on. There is no requirement to finish everything if your child is struggling. Your child may need support and guidance for the last few questions as these require reasoning and problem solving skills.

Try the counting stick video on our class page for the 3 times tables. Learn the sequence forwards and backwards.

For our English today we are learning about what a simile is. This is recapping from Year 2 work. We are going to go out in our playground and woodland area and are going to use the environment to inspire similes. We will talk about ideas and jot down some similes inspired by what we see. 

When we get back to the classroom we will share some good examples and create our own simile list poem.

As it is Roald Dahl day, we are celebrating with an assembly. I have given you the power point to go through. When you've finished you could design Roald Dahl a birthday card using your creative skills. There is a sheet to record some facts that you could find out about the famous author. You could also read a Roald Dahl book if you have any. Try You Tube for some audio examples.
